2 TO 4 TENTHS NEW...YOUNG AND FIRST YEAR THIN ICE LIES AROUND SAINT MATTHEW ISLAND. THE AREA OF ICE IS APPROXIMATELY 80 NM NORTH TO SOUTH AND 170 NM EAST TO WEST. SHALLOW WATER AREAS SOUTH OF KWIKPAK ARE MOSTLY ICE FREE.
FORECAST THROUGH MONDAY...ICE WILL DIMINISH ALONG THE COAST OF NORTON SOUND AND SOUTH TO HOOPER BAY. ICE MOVEMENT WILL BE TO THE WEST 10 TO 30 NM. SEASONAL ICE MELT WILL CONTINUE AND WATERS SOUTH OF SCAMMON BAY WILL BE ICE FREE BY MONDAY.

4 TO 6 TENTHS NEW...YOUNG AND FIRST YEAR THIN ICE LIES 30 TO 60 NM
OFF THE COAST OF SAINT MATTHEW ISLAND. OPEN WATER EXTENDS UP THE
ALASKA WEST COAST TO SCAMMON BAY. SHALLOW AREAS FROM SCAMMON BAY TO
THE YUKON DELTA ARE ICE FREE EXCEPT FOR RIVER ICE. MOST OF THE ICE
AREA IN NORTON SOUND IS NEW ICE WITH ISOLATED AREAS OF LARGER FLOES.
FORECAST THROUGH SATURDAY...WEAK ON SHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE MAINLY
DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS THROUGH TUESDAY. SOUTH TO
SOUTHEAST FLOW WILL DEVELOP WEDNESDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY.
THE ICE WILL MOVE TO THE NORTHWEST 4 TO 8 NM EACH DAY WEDNESDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY. THE NET ICE MOVEMENT WILL BE TO THE NORTHWEST 20 TO
30 NM. SEASONAL ICE MELT WILL INCREASE THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
